The Roy E. Parks Children’s Playground
This park is the newest addition to the City. The playground was designed to provide a safe, clean place for children to play and is surrounded by a 6’ wrought iron fence with vintage-style lighting. The park boasts a whimsical mural on a retaining wall and a variety of brightly colored play equipment. The playground is located on the corner of 5th Street and 3rd Avenue, across from the new library in Downtown Auburn.

The Auburn Ballparks (Mary Carter Rd)
Located on Mary Carter Road near Downtown Auburn.

R.H. Burel Park
One of the most prominent parks in Auburn, R.H. Burel Park, is located on 4th Avenue in the downtown area. It is best known for a bright, red caboose, donated to the city by CSX Railroad and located on the West side of the park.

James Shackelford Memorial Park
This park is located at the intersection of Browns Bridge Road and Appalachee Church Road and was newly dedicated for the late Council member James Shackelford. Before its dedication and reopening, the park was renovated by Scout Troop 774. This park offers camping areas with shelters, and a beautiful nature trail that circles the park.

Whistlestop Park (1369 4th Avenue)
Named by the students at Auburn Elementary, Whistlestop is located across from R.H. Burel Park and is a greenspace park with picnic tables, newly planted shrubbery, and beautiful pecan trees. Auburn residents love to come by to pick and eat pecans. Whistlestop Park is also home to our Whistlestop Shops - microretailing opportunities for small businesses. Drop by today to visit or check out their website at www.whistlestopshops.com. The shops are open 11am to 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
City of Auburn Ballfields (252 Parks Mill Rd)
Located at 252 Parks Mill Rd. the City of Auburn’s newest Parks and Leisure facility boasts a 300 ft. baseball and softball field. This current project recently completed phase one of a multi-phased project. In the future this facility will offer four more baseball and softball diamonds, one multi-purpose field, walking trails throughout the 20 acre park, two playground pads, and user amenities such as storage, concessions, press boxes, and restrooms.

J.D. Withers Building (7 Seventh Street)
This facility is available for rent. Perfect for wedding or baby showers and small family reunions, this facility features a full kitchen and has tables and chairs. The maximum occupancy is 50.
