The new Auburn is now open for
business. Please
click here or use the link
in the navigation bar to visit the library's new page. The Friends of the Auburn
Library would like to get some feedback on the materials the
citizens of Auburn want in the new library. If you would,
please take a few minutes, complete the survey, and return
it with your water bill.
To get involved, attend Friends
of the Auburn Library meeting. We meet the third Wednesday
of each month at the new library on 5th
street at 3:45.
In this day and age, it is more
important then ever to remember and honor those who have
fought, and even given their lives for this great country of
ours. The City of Auburn would like to take this
opportunity to do just that. Please visit our new
page, Honoring our Military Personnel, under the About
Auburn section of the website, and keep the new entries
coming.

The
City of Auburn, Georgia is a friendly home town founded in
1892,
and being conveniently located between Lawrenceville and
Winder, Auburn provides a tradition of small-town Southern
charm and hospitality without the hassles of big city life,
and lies along the border between Barrow and Gwinnett
Counties, in the metropolitan Atlanta area, but represents
the best of small town life.
Georgia Highway 316, between Atlanta and Athens, Georgia
Highway 8, between Lawrenceville and Athens, and Georgia
Highway 324, between Auburn and Buford provides quick access
to major interstate highways, shopping centers, and cultural
centers. This makes places like The Mall of Georgia,
Gwinnett Place Mall, and Georgia Square Mall no more then 30
minutes away, and puts us in the center of one of the
fastest growing areas in the United States.
Residential and business development is promoted by low
taxes, a progressive city government, and a growing water
and sewer system. New manufacturing and warehouse space, as
well as shopping centers and restaurants are continuously
moving into our city, promoting job growth, and services to
our citizens.
The
City of Auburn has a newly expanded elementary school, as
well as a wide variety of churches, and recreational
opportunities.
Come see for yourself and you will agree--Auburn is a
great place for your family or business to call home.
